Who wrote this book?

"The Polar Express" was published in 1985 and was written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg.  Mr. Van Allsburg was a professor at Rhode Island School of Design. (Rhode Island is also my home state)

The Polar Express

Here is another favorite (or at least one of my favorites).  "The Polar Express" is a story about the magic of the Christmas Season.  In this story, one of the children has stopped believing in Christmas magic.  This is symbolized by his not being able to hear the "christmas bell" which fell loose from Santa's sleigh.

What is the story about?

"The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" is a children's book about a mean old grinch who hates Christmas and will do anything to stop it from coming.

The grinch was published in 1957 and was written and illustrated by Theodor Seuss Geisel, AKA Dr. Seuss.
